Who's ready for the Tampa Bay Scrapbook EXPO in December?  I am planning to go to the EXPO on Saturday, December 6th, and would love for all of you to join me.  We will be meeting at My Stamping Playground at 8:30am Saturday morning, and carpooling from there.  We will be returning when everyone shops 'til they drop, or 5:30pm, whichever comes first.  Tickets for the EXPO are $8, and we will be asking all passengers to contribute $3 for gas. This Weekend's Harvest

It was so great to see everyone again at this past weekend's crops.  We had a full house all weekend.  I enjoyed myself imensly.  We really have a great group of women here. 

People missed the crops so much, that they tried, once again, to get me to charge for the crops, so that I would not stop doing them again.  So, we finally comprimised, and put up a donation can up above the tools section of the crop room.  So, crops are still FREE, but if you're ever in a position to contribute a little to the crop room, it would be greatly appreciated.

Now, let's get to the good stuff.  I've been playing with some new stamps from Paper Bag Studios, and I just love them.  So, here are samples of my card harvest from this weekend's crops.  All of the cards were made using stamps from Paper Bag Studios, except for the butterfly stamp which came from Inkadinkado, and the Bingo stamps which are Tim Holtz designs from Stampers Anonymous.  Enjoy!

Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter - For Sale

Jennifer Burke has a gently used Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter for sale.

The Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter machine is a great tool. Simply by touching a button, Cricut can cut beautiful designs and alphabets for card making, scrapbooking, and paper crafting.

No computer required, just plug it in. Place your favorite cartridge in the machine and choose from hundreds of designs in 12 different sizes; ranging from 1" to 5-1/2"!

Sinless Scrapbooking

Every now and then I read an article that captures how I feel. So, I've decided to post some of these articles to share with you, as I come across those that really speak to me.

How about some absolution for guilt-free scrapbooking? Here are five "rules" that it's seriously OK to break.

Keep the Old  Go ahead--use last year's supplies or even (gasp!) paper from several years ago. If you like it, does it really matter when it came out?

Be a Rebel  Sure, you like to preserve your memories. But, if you want to use something that's not acid-free, go for it. The scrapbooking police won't call you out. The only consequence is that is might not last.

Scrap Out of Order  Who cares whether you took those photos five minutes ago or five decades ago? Scrap what you want, when you want.

Use Imperfect Photos  Your snapshots might be blurry, washed out, or so dark you can barely see the subject, but if they capture a treasured memory, put them on a page anyway.

Go Back to Basics  We love trying out the latest and greatest tools and supplies--so much that it's easy to lose sight of what scrapbooking is about. So, bust out your basics--cardstock, adhesive, and a paper trimmer--and leave the hot new products on the shelf.

Welcome to My Stamping Playground

Getting Started

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Terry, and I’m a “stampaholic.” I love to kid around and introduce myself in that way, whenever I meet a fellow crafter. But, the truth of the matter is that I really am addicted to rubber stamps. (And ink, and paper, and scissors, and on, an on ...) And, like any true addict, I’m always in search of "dealers"—stamp dealers that is, fellow "addicts"—other crafters who love to stamp, "newbies"—other crafters I can get hooked on stamping, and of course stamps. Hence, My Stamping Playground--a comfortable place where fellow stampers and scrapbookers can come to hang out and play; where I can share my creations; and where I can share any knowledge I may gain along the way.
